The Lion King

We went to see the stage adaptation of Disney's animated film "The Lion King" in London's Lyceum Theatre. There's no way to express in words (at least I'm not capable of doing so) how incredibly impressive this show is. The music (better than in the movie – well, it’s live and you can see those guys working, specially the two percussionists left and right of the stage in the balcony!), the actors/singers/dancers (what great voices!), the scenery (simply beautiful), the characterisation, make-up, masks and clothing (what incredible imagination!), and, above all, the solutions (both technical and creative) for so many parts and details we just couldn’t imagine, before seeing the show, how they could be done.
The first song hadn’t come to an end yet, when the audience was already cheering and applauding as you usually hear it only at the end of a rock concert when the audience is asking for an encore…
If you should ever get the chance – Go see it!
