London

Yes, I didn’t write anything for the last few days. But there’s a good reason for that. I have been on holidays with my family. No, not only wife and kids, but also my parents, and my sisters and their families as well. A real family reunion it was. Where? After having met in Italy, last summer, this time we met in London! (My sister Hanna lives there.)
London is great. Everybody knows that.
There live about 7.5 Million people in Greater London and several million more in London's metro area. The range of peoples, cultures, and religions in its population is really incredible and makes it one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe, and the world. We did some sightseeing for those who had never been to London (and all the others as well): the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, etc. and also took some time just for strolling around and enjoying the impressions of life in London, especially in places such as Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Camden Town, somewhere along the Thames, …
But what impressed me most was the famous sympathy, friendliness and helpfulness of the Londoners. Sounds weird, doesn’t it? I don’t know if we just got lucky, or if the mixture of peoples and cultures has been creating a new species, or the culture of a tourist orientated city has taken over its population, or… but one thing is for sure: We’ve only had pleasant encounters with friendly, polite and helpful people over the last few days!
It was a very nice time. We’ll be back!
