A World Of Music

The nominated artists were announced on Friday 27 October 2006 at WOMEX (the World Music trade fair) in Seville, Spain.

The nominees have been voted for by the delegates of WOMEX.

The Album of the Year category is decided by a world panel of critics organised by fRoots Magazine and voting for the final category, the Audience Award, opens on 1 January 2007.

The winners will be announced on 31 March 2007 on Radio 3's World Routes programme and the Winners' Concert will be held on Sunday 27 May 2007 at the Barbican in London, when the winner of the Audience Award will also be announced.
