The Day the Music Died

On February 3rd, 1959, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper (J. P. Richardson) were killed in a plane crash en route from Mason City, Iowa to a gig near Fargo, North Dakota.

Too bad they had to die, but at least there was a fourth one that could have been on the plane with them and didn't get "lucky" enough to get a seat, and lived a few more years. Fortunatelly, that was the most brilliant of them all - the great Eddie Cochran! He then wrote a song about this episode, named "Tree Stars" (not a very good one, though...)

Unfortunatly it was only one year more! Eddie Cochran died in a car accidente on 17th of April 1960.
